권혜현 Hye-Hyeon Kwon

권혜현은 도자와 회화 매체를 이용하여 작업하는 시각 예술가이다. ‘개인, 장소, 이동’에 대해 고찰하고 이를 사회문화적 기호와 도상을 통해 표현한다. 이화여자대학교 도자예술 학사와 조형예술 석사를 졸업하였다. <Hop On, Hop Off>(KCDF, 서울, 한국, 2022), <Movable Point>(SomoS, 베를린, 독일, 2021), <Scattered Dots>(갤러리밈, 서울, 한국, 2020)등 다수의 개인전을 개최하였고 2022년 한국공예ㆍ디자인문화진흥원(KCDF) 신진작가 부문, 2021년 한국문화예술위원회(ARKO) 국제예술교류지원 작가로 선정되었다. 현재 공예와 미술의 경계를 아우르는 작품을 시도하며 예술 영역을 확장해 나가고 있다.

Hye-Hyeon Kwon is a visual artist specializing in ceramics and paintings. She explores the themes of "individuals, places, and movement," expressing them through socio-cultural symbols and icons. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Arts at Ewha Womans University and achieved a master’s degree in Fine Arts. Kwon has held numerous solo exhibitions at esteemed venues like KCDF (Seoul, South Korea, 2022), SomoS (Berlin, Germany, 2021), and Gallery Meme (Seoul, South Korea, 2020). Her exceptional talent was recognized as an emerging artist by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation (KCDF) in 2022. She has also been supported for international artistic exchange by the Arts Council Korea (ARKO) in 2021.
